Does it make sense to invest in another ddr2 or is now the time to go ddr3 and just build a new machine?

Difference between DDR2 and DDR3?

Definitely not a big difference. There is a 3% speed increase at most.

Yep, all this time I've been using my laptop as the desktop just doesn't work much anymore, the motherboard seems to be faulty and I'm tired of the RMA process. I'm gonna sell it, please pm if interested in separate parts.

Just gonna get a little desktop.
