I own a Socket 478 intel motherboard D865GBF

I installed new BIOS drivers.
That went okay. I went into the bios, played with the memory settings and cranked it up. Then it doesnt boot up at all. doesnt even say intel desktop baord when i boot up. I reset CMOS. there were 3 pins, I put the blue plug on the 1st and 2nd when it as in 2nd and 3rd. Doesnt work. I do it the other way. Still doesnt work. I move the memory into differnet slots.
No Cigar. Doesnt boot up. only turns on. It takes like 20 seconds to turn on when the power plug is in. Is the motherboard fried or...? please help me out im so pissed.

bump

Should I just buy a new motherboard for $30 until i build a new pc?
Remove the battery and let it rest for 5-to-10 min. Leave the CMOS jumper in the reset position. Unplug power supply also.

Sounds like a bad flash.
you should ALWAYS boot into Windows after flash the bios before making any adjustments.
Also thats an Intel board (not ment to OC) so if you used a third party bios thats your problem(bad flash\\wrong bios).

Well if none of that fixed the problem then yeah buy a new board, what good is a board that doesnt boot? You might wanna try some different memory to if you have some spairs, but in most case's if after removing the battery or reseting the cmos does not cure the problem then you probably fried the board or ram.

Hmm. Tried with another PSU? I had a problem like that a long time ago, where everything powered up except the mobo... It was my PSU 20 pin connector. ONLY the 20 pin connector, nothing else was fried. Try another PSU before you chuck the board.
