i have a ECS P965T-A board and it says that it supports
ddr2 533, 800, 667

however i have ddr2 400. will this work?

my screen wont turn on. is this a problem because of the ram?

PC3200 = DDR, not DDR2

And yes, that would be why your computer is not booting up. DDR and DDR2 are not interchangeable.

Most likely, your mobo is trying to effectively OC your memory to 533 specs and won't boot or POST for that reason, or PC2-3200 is just completely incompatable with it. Either way, you need a minimum of PC2-4200 (533) to run that.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings
