I bought my Steelseries Sensei about 6-7 months ago, not my most favorite mouse but I can work with it. Anyways, I'm not sure if the original mouse feet was just thin or if my Razer Goliathus pad was acting like sandpaper or something, but I noticed that the mouse feet had been worn down to the last millimeter, almost on the same level as the surface the feet were stuck on. In terms of glidability or smoothness, I was actually fine with the original feet's feel, and was considering ordering them on the SS U.K store, but I noticed a lot of praise for the Puretrak Perfectglides, especially the HDs. What I wanted to know was:

How are the ORIGINAL Perfectglides? I find tons of reviews and detailed shots on the HDs, but I can't find a single review on the originals. weird.

How are both of the 'glides feel/speed/ durability compared to the Steelseries mouse feet? I've read a lot about the HDs taking a lot time to break in and such with the scratchiness.

For the price of 5$ for SS, 8$ for Original Perfectglides, and 10$ for the HDs, I feel like I need some enlightment. Sorry for long post.

I'd buy some from takasta on ebay. The perfect glide are terrible IMO so much drag. Worse feet I've used. For the sensei I'd get some from takasta or hyperglide and just use 1.1/3.0 feet like I do with all my mice.

I have corepads, they are cheaper and look to be ok enough. These are also transparent enough(white) so you can see where the screw holes are, if you want to try and make a hole in the feet.

Just swapped from original, so no idea about durability.

sadly there aren't any hyperglides for the sensei/xai, I've heard good things about those as well :/

How are the corepads compared to the original and perfectglides if you've used them in terms of feel?

Yes, remove the stock feet, clean the surface, apply the Hyperglides for 1.1/3.0. The skatez are smaller than the originals soo they fit in the original groves.

Unsure how it feels (corepads) because I swapped these in when the original old feet were totally worn(~2years of use).. Also my hard mousepad is always getting more worn over time, so no idea : )

Better than worn originals : )

You do want to clean out every little old glue particle, or else when you put new feet, the old particles just vacuum the dust particles from side and clutter it up (there is always some tiny gap for dust to go in from the side and get glued up ... dustyyy
