Hey, I have recently got a second monitor, and as a result have had to move my case off the desk and onto the floor (Carpet) Just wondering if this is a bad idea, and if i is should try and find another way to put my case?

The case is the one in my Sig.

Yeah i think the carpet will probably touch with your rubber feet, and rigs seem to collect alot more dust on the floor.

The case has rubber feet so the OP won't have to worry about static electricity. He needs to worry about dust more.

Im looking at the same sorta thing soon. I plan to place an old shelve from a book case on the floor just to get it away from the carpet.

The dust, possible static and the case/fans on the bottom not breathing.

Here's what I've done with my case on the carpet:

Wood from a former desk I found on the curb but you can use any plywood of soughts or find such furniture on the curb and use a piece.

I found trhat my case collected dust SIGNIFICANTLY faster sitting directly on the floor. I had this storage container thingy that i sat it on top of and that helped a lot.
