So I thought before I did it I'd come here to double check on how to do it haha. So right now I'm working on my Aunt's computer, since her version of Windows XP crashed, I was just going to move all of her data and such over to a HDD I'm not using that has Windows XP on it. So first I want to wipe my HDD except for the OS, so that there is room for all of the stuff on the other HDD. Then I want to move all of her data to the new HDD except the corrupt version of Windows XP. How would I go about doing this?

Also some side notes, whenever I plug two HDDs in, it always gave me a BSOD, but I found a 80GB HDD that won't when I plug it in singly but I'm scared to plug both in, its the last HDD I have. >.>

And the computer isn't connect to the internet since I use the wireless modem on my cell phone and the Desktop (Dell 4550) doesn't have a Wi-Fi adapter. So I can't download software.

Okay I don't want the corrupted Windows XP copied though, so which folders is it in? There are a WINDOWS folder and a WINDOWS CACHE folder?

Unless she is computer savvy chances are all you will need to move are My Documents, Desktop and the music/pics/videos folders. All you are moving are her data folders.

I agree, You could just Move everything except the Windows folder, or Clone the HDD to another HDD and delete Windows, and When you plug both in, make sure your MAIN drive as the primary boot device.

Whenever I attempt to move the Documents and Settings folder I always get this error message. This is really starting to irritate me since I'm also sick and this doesn't seem to want to work for me.

You don't need to move it. Just copy it. You don't even need to copy the whole folder, just the My Documents folder inside your aunt's profile directory. If I remember correctly, My Pictures, My Music and My Videos are all inside My Documents in XP.
