What seems to be the best way to move folders in Windows 7? There seems to be several different ways. I have several hdd with several partitions. Thanks.

What do you mean, do you mean you want to bring folders that contain files from one partition to another?

That's simple as long as the files are files that aren't written to the registry (such as music, pictures, videos, documents, etc).

All you'd have to do is drag the folder from one hard drive to another, that's it.

If you want to actually transfer folders that contain files written to the registry... It's a tedious process that I've always personally preferred just reinstalling.

Yeah, like usual I left out info. I create partitions and then like to keep My documents on partition D, My pictures on E, My Music on next hdd partition F, My videos on other hdd partition G. I also like to put my programs on another hdd and separate partition.
