I will be moving my 2 hdd's in raid 0 from one setup to another... Asus a8v to asus p5b-e. Will the raid array stay in tack or do i need to redo the raid array in new mbd and lose all data? Thanks

Do I have to do anything in the new raid bios in new mbd or just hook them up and make sure raid is enabled in bios and go...

</div>You'll have to set up the RAID (F10, at post, if I recall correctly) <b>exactly</b> the same as on the old MOBO.<br />
<br />
Be aware that the old MOBO divers may not work. What a wonderfull opportunity for a clean, fresh install.

Wait, doesn't he have to re-install windows because he is changing chipset type (from S939 to 775)?<br />

And then the raid array will go and you have to make a new one but then all your other data will go too.

Well I have 4 partitions on the Raid 0, so yes I will do a new install of windows on the 1 partition but want to make sure I dont lose data on the other 3... I thought the raid was created by the bios and not the O.S?

If you do it correct, the RAID array will stay <img src="/images/smilies/smile.gif" border="0" alt="" title="Smile" class="inlineimg" />

well if I just plug it in the new mbd and enable raid will it work or do you think I will have to go in the raid bios?
