Which would be better; buying a really good 478, or buy a OKish 775 and upgrade later??

my budget is about $150, and i already have a CeleronD 330 (2.6ghz)

There are two types of Celeron D: http://processorfinder.intel.com/Lis...Spec=&OrdCode=

Which one do you have?

But in any case, the P4P800 is the one for the S478 and DS3 for LGA.

Hello,

It really depends upon availability of mPGA478 hardware and at what cost.

LGA775 socket is much newer and is still currently supported.

Ive had many mPGA478 based systems over the years so if you need some pointers I can help
