The EK site states that the stock 1080Ti Tf6 MSI backplate is compatible with the block but doesn't say anything about the screws.
Can I still use screws supplied with the EK water block or do I need to order longer ones?
Ehm....EK, can you take a look at your manuals?
They're missing a lot of important info...
a) There is not a single word on how to use the block with the stock TF6 BP and what screws to use!
b) There is a quadrilion of screws in the bag and not all are mentioned - why not put a short notice or a mark next to the picture with "This block uses these screws".
c) It doesn't say that you have to remove the stock black metal bracket that's on the memory IC's (may seem obvious, but still).
d) What to do with the thick pads on the inductors?
I was pretty stuck, finally I used 4x short screws w. washers around the die and the longer ones on the backplate, without washers of course.
Hoping it will turn out well but it doesn't give you much sense of confidence that way.
Last but not least, both blocks are severely warped at right side above the VRMs...acetal problems?
