Hey Guys,

I am planning to upgrade my video card. It is an old ASUS EAH5850 TOP DirectCu.

I am looking at MSI R7970 Lightning Boost Edition but I cannot find it online on Newegg or Tigerdirect. I only see the Power Edition or reference cards 7970 MSI.

Are these discontinued?

It's out of stock in most places so I'd just pick up the normal version.
The normal version is less of a hassle than the GHz anyway.

The msi lightning BE is not and will not be available in the US.

I ordered a 7970 Lightning from Newegg late December, although it didn't state it on the website, I received the BE. Doesn't seem to be in stock anymore at newegg though. I'm not the only one. Another member here on the forums got one too as did some on the hardforum.

Are you ordering from the US Newegg site? I saw posts as well where this was happening, but never stated which newegg site they were purchased from. I contacted MSI and they stated:
