I've got two of these. It says 6 pin power but on both, a pin is missing. 20210617_130833.jpg 20210617_130851.jpg

you don't need it with a single GPU.

That's what I just found out from MSI's 800 number.

It's if I was running like a GTX 3080 or 90 whatever it's out now two of them.

I cannot find anything saying it saying for more than one GPU in the manual.

See attachment.

because you don't need it for >1 GPU, either. it's for fringe cases like mining or HWBOT where you're worried about overloading the 24-pin.

you can swap it with LMGTFY if that's more fitting.

You said RTFM so i went through it throughly, the manual has no information "mining, hwbot nor anything else for that matter" about pcie pwr1.

∆ that was the point i was making ∆

I wouldn't have said "swap it for LMGTFY" if I wasn't aware of your point, no?

Not very new, most devices are going digital distribution for manuals. Most people don't read them or lose them before wanting to reference them anyway. :p

I like the digital manuals, I use a tablet to reference them while building.

That board's 2nd x16 sized slot is an x4 from the chipset anyway so you wouldn't want to run a gpu in that 2nd slot.

2x PCIe x16 slots
Support x16/ x4
PCI_E1 (from CPU)
Supports up to PCIe 4.0 for 11th Gen Intel® CPU
Supports up to PCIe 3.0 for 10th Gen Intel® CPU
PCI_E3 (from Z590 chipset)
Supports up to PCIe 3.0
2x PCIe 3.0 x1 slots (from Z590 chipset)
