Bing's December volume translated into a 15.1 percent share of the U.S. search traffic, comScore said. Yahoo processed 2.65 billion search requests, representing 14.5 percent of the U.S. market.

Google remained Internet's go-to place for information, with 12 billion U.S. requests in December. That works out to a 65.9 percent market share.
Personally I like Bing alot. Google has gotten so bad about ads taking over EVERYTHING that it is very hard to locate information on a variety of topics for me...

Well I don't really hate bing but last few month their commercials really annoyed me a lot. But since I got a windows phone I would say bing is ok now. But I still prefer google search engine and map.

I don't know if Bing has gotten all that much better...I think Yahoo is just getting all the much worse. I typically run my searches against Google first and then Bing. Each will some times bring something near the top that the other doesn't. I don't bother with any other search engines though every now and then I will try Yahoo just for giggles...and it never really helps me out, but it is by default added in the list of engines to Firefox.

I guarantee everyone on this forum the only reason for that is that IE is bundled with Windows and defaults to Bing. I work as a computer technician and SOOO many people just use the default b/c they don't feel comfortable enough to try anything new or even to change their default search engine. If you take that advantage away I guarantee you Bing would be waaay behind all the big guys.

Yeah...it could be just related to the amount of Windows 7 purchases made in recent years.

behind what other big guys? google and yahoo? and who else?

Yahoo is terrible.. Everything about them is terrible now. Their messenger is horrid and is filled with spam bots for porn. The chatrooms are a joke. Why does anyone use yahoo anymore?

For some reason, I like google because it gives me the concrete searches I'm looking for, and a lot of it, good for some research. Bing... I don't know, I'm trying to like it.

This. The top Firefox persona is the Yahoo one.

I also like how this article also says bing has "eclipsed" yahoo when in fact it's only a 0.6% lead. Hardly an eclipse. It'd be more like a moon where when you looked at it you thought "huh. there's a tiny dent in the side i wonder what that is." assuming you could see past the light being bounced off of it to begin with.
