Hi guys!!

Plz help me making a decision between these two cards. The following are my constraints or conditions..

1. I absolutely do not need to overclock.
2. Hawk is already overclocked and has almost comparable benchmarks as Asus.
3. Hawk has two fans so better cooling I guess. It has more cooling pipes too so i am more inclined towards it.
4. Money is not a factor.

Plz suggest.
Thanx..

either the hawk or the asus are a great choice. I have the hawk, and it runs very cool (26c at idle with 20-22c ambient), Fans are fairly quiet (nearly silent up until 60%), max load temps at 930 core were only 68c.
From what I've hear also is the Asus cards are very good aswell, cooling wise on par with the hawk, not sure about noise. Just whatever you do DONOT get an EVGA superclocked EE 460... extremely noisy at anything over 45%, plus you run the risk of getting one with a bad heatsink like mine... would idle at 38-42c and load temps were 98c (didn't let it get higher before I turned off furmark)..

I am thinking of going with the Hawk as I have read many review calling it awesome.

Still the discussion should be open until I get one...bcoz hv to check with the msi dealer in my area..

+1, as i alwais say, DirectCU have VRMs heatsink. This is a big ++ for it.

But all are good cards ...

Thing is, he has already stated he is not going to OC the card, so the VRM's heatsink (IMO) doesn't really matter. My hawk runs at 1v at the factory 780c OC, which is barely anymore stress than a stock 460. But I do agree it is def. a plus if you are OC'ing (I wish my hawk has heatsink on the VRMs so I could push it further..)

My asus top card has terrible fan ^^ when it goes 25-40% barely hearable, but like 50% its very hearable, 80% and it flyes of my case!! I don't regret buying though, great overclockable card, and i got it same price than other cards, so win win for me.
