Hello,
I have a quick question. Does installing the Mugen 2 really void a motherboard's warranty? Specifically the one in my sig?
You do have to remove the motherboard's back plate but aren't they just held on with screws?
If you ever have to RMA just put the stock mounting solution back on. The work needed to mount the behemoth that is the Mugen 2, is well worth it IMHO. It's a ~$35 cooler that beats many $50+ coolers.
I know to put the stock back on, but is there any way for them (Gigabyte) to know that I took it off?
I have a Mugen 2 lying around but would like to still have my motherboard warranty. The chances may be small for something to happen, but if something did happen, it would be a waste of money...
i have never had a problem getting an RMA for a bad or fried mobo even though i use different coolers, even in the water cooling section you see people that have got RMA's, and they don't use the factory mounts on some of them.

Thanks, I'll go for it when I finish modding my case.
