MW2 DLC (Map Packs?)

Does anyone know if Infinity Ward is plannong in releasing any Map Packs anytime soon? Surprisingly enough, MW2 is the first CoD game I have ever played, and don't know if they usually release map packs for these games and if so, how long after launch. I'm getting kinda tired of playing the same 10 crummy maps or so, rarely getting to play the 1 or 2 I find enjoyable.

They will be in the future;however, unlike previous cod games where the dl content was free, you're going to have to purchase is this time from what Im hearing.

I don't mind purchasing, as long as it's not more than 800 points. If it is, then I/W can lick my nuts.

Yeah, think the last one was 800 points. Wouldn't be surprised if this one is 1200 though..

No, it will be 800 MS points. You might as well buy a 2800 MS point card (in canada they sell at 1400 and 2800) and keep it saved onto your account because there are going to be 2 map packs for sure. Depending on how these two map packs sell, Infinity Ward is planning on creating a third map pack available for the Xbox. (this map pack will most likely be a bring back map pack, where they may bring back some COD4 maps, but improved in both graphics and different routes to fit in with MW2.) Microsoft also noted that these map packs will be available for the Xbox360 first before PC and PS3.

Interesting, I'd love to play some of my fav cod4 maps again with the new game.

Modders already found gametypes that were gonna be DLC in the game's code. Yet, not found maps. So yes there will be DLC. IW said around spring. I call bs on that. When COD4 was released, we had a Winter Crash by Christmas. Spring is a LONG wait for money hungry IW. I say, expect something around Christmas.

I thought they did find locked maps? Would explain why the game is so large.

I heard we won't seee any new DLC until sometime in January. I would like some new content as soon as possible but Haveing it here before Christmas will def. be out of the ballpark for me. Money is strapped this month already.

I personally think they should wait until January which will be a good time. Its a brand new game, there are 16 maps. I'd like to get as much as play out of the reg. maps before they come out with a map pack. I think infinity ward wants people to really use up the maps before they release any DLC, and christmas time is just around the corner, meaning christmas break, so users will be on twice as much!

I think they'll wait a little bit longer than xmas but I'm sure it will cost more points than the COD5 maps did. Also I'm expecting them to be the size of the Rust lvl...

I'm okay with the maps now...though...they just need to delete query all together. and remove Rust from the TD maps....

I'm surprised by how many people are so willing to throw even more money at IW... Looks like their marketing scheme worked on some people.

By the way, as previously mentioned, your DLC is already on the disc.

All DLC is shipped on the disc. All you need is the code to have it unlocked. That is what you are paying for and downloading. There have been some people out there that get into the game code an dfigure out what is coming out based on the info.

What a con, so the disk i sweated my nuts off for contains all this "extra info" somewhere in the code, but to unlock it i need a key, do IW this we were born yesterday? I'm sure some smart ass will be able to unlock the content for the general public.

I own the disc/data its mine!!! - give me the MAPS!!
