MW2 system link not working?

does anyone know how to get system link working in mw2? when i create a game on 1 xbox i cannot see the game on the other xbox? i have no idea why, i've checked all IP addresses and it seems no matter what i do i cannot get each xbox to see each other

it does work in halo however, which is why i'm so confused

I don't think you can do that in MW2. As far as I know, you have to connect to their servers.

hmmmmm... maybe try getting a better game where the developers actually care about the gamers and not just the money?

How 'bout we try not trolling.

Yes, MW2 can do a system link, it's right in the Multiplayer menu and I played a few system linked matches at the pre-release party.

ok does anyone read the question anymore? first of all, i know there is a system link option, i can clearly see that, and i've done system link on other games many times before as i stated it worked just fine in halo 3 without changing any settings on anything at all. i'm just wondering if anyone knows why i cannot find the match that i created on the other xbox and if it has happened to you and what you did to fix it?

With all due respect, Krunk, you are incorrect.

I personally assisted IW / Activision set up some of those pre-launch events in Vegas and LA, and although it seems improbable, *each and every machine* running MW2 was connected to the internet, NOT via the Local Area Network.

CoD4:MW will run over a LAN, but MW2 will not. True story.com

Yes, it does support system link, although you need a TV and a copy of the game per 360.
