Well, i just got a free lcd monitor, its not that old but it dont work so well, when i turn it on instead of the display there are a bunch of shades of gray, is there a way to fix this. Also, when it does decide to work it is all blinky.

If it's under warranty send it back. If not, try to get a new control board for it -- it's not worth the trouble unless you're very confident about changing it. Otherwise, buy a new monitor...

but in all seriousness it might be the VGA cable. On my last Viewsonic it would blink a yellow tinge or lose a color, and I thought it was the monitor but I changed the VGA cable and it worked perfectly

But even when she isnt plugged into my computer it does it instead of saying "No input found".

I would still try to find a different VGA cable..even if its from a different computer for like 5 minutes
