I am having trouble figuring out why the 3DMark06 computer performance test wont work on my computer when I get to the PCU test in the red rock canyon with the robot fight in the background. My computer freezes at about 20 Frames into the program. It's kind of weird how I can run Battlefield 2142 at MAX at 60FPS and my computer wont even blink, but when running 3DMark06 it has trouble at this one spot. I have looked into my 2 gigs of ram(not overclocked) and also my Connect3Dx1900 crossfire edition video card running at 650/750MHz and have actually turned down some of the overclocking amounts on it and the program still wont run at that part. WHY? WHY? WHY?

Not enuff juice...or the RAM is mis-timed...

It's definately not the video card, since it freezes on the CPU test. The video card ain't doing a whole lot during that test.
possible issues:

temperatures. This test is torture on the CPU, and the fact that BF 2142 runs fine does not matter. The previous video tests in 3DMARK06 also ran fine. Check CPU temps. Does your CPU prime ok?

PSU: not likely, the TPII has enough juice for your rig. However, check your voltages under load

RAM: Check timings. Not a very likely cause since it's not overclocked

Overclock: as stated, try stock. Maybe your overclock is not stable (need a little more voltages)

I am only able to run the voltage up to 1.4 but it technically runs at 1.45 volts. Do you think that it would be better to run at 2.45GHz processor speed at 1.45 Volts than 2.55 at 1.45 Volts?

What do you mean, does your CPU prime ok? I am running at 1.45 volts all the time and maybe once in a while it will dip to 1.42 volts. I kind of sucks because before I started overclocking this 3DMark06 ran slow during that part anyway. Do you think I should overclock my memory and at what level do you think would be the most stable to overclock at. I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but in my AsusPC probe the +3.3V is running at a speradic level anywhere between 3.4 and 1.6 showing that it is out of range. Thanks
