EDIT: Thought i'd post my overclocks so people coming in from google can see some general results.
4ghz HT @ 1.188v, 4.4ghz no HT @ 1.296v, 4.6ghz no HT @ 1.42v <----- LinX stable
4.6ghz HT @ 1.45v <----- 3Dmark Vantage stable
4.9ghz no HT @ 1.48v <----- SuperPi 1M stable
5ghz no HT @ 1.537v <----- able to validate

all above results are on water (apogee XT,mpc 655, mcr 320) with i7 920 batch # 3917C043 and a Classified E760. Heres the proof:

c batches? i just brought mine today and there were only a and b batches. where did you find this rarity.
your CPU is probalby the most uncommon thing out. seriouesly A and B batches need like 1.36v+ to get 4.4GHZ
sorry to intrude on your topic but how do you go about finding out what batch you have without removing the cooler and having the box (or is there no way?)

You can't find your batch number in CPU z. There's no way to find it without taking the cooler off if you don't have the box.

Might have to keep an eye out at microcenter for C batches for a test run.
I'll be going tomorrow for a second HDD for raid Zero. Pre-black-friday sale FTW!

so, what would an A batch be worth, that can do 4.5 at less than 1.3vcore?

It's worth whatever somebody is willing to pay.

Mine does 4.3ghz at 1.28V (load) HT on and I was told an individual didnt want it because "newegg sells B batches"
lol
