I'm not interested in selling my computer at this point in time, at least for a year or two, but I'm curious as to how much it would be worth used if sold after my upcoming upgrades.

Case: Antec 900 in good shape, w/ side fan
Mobo: Asus P5Q Pro
CPU: Core 2 Quad Q9550 2.83GHz, possibly OCd to 3.6GHz+
CPU heatsink: Thermaltake V1 110mm, w/ good TIM (AS5, Shin Etsu, OCZ Freeze, whatever I end up getting)
RAM: OCZ Platinum 2x2GB DDR2 1066 5-5-5-18
Graphics cards: Sapphire Radeon 4870 1GB + Asus Radeon 4850 512MB CrossFire
PSU: Corsair TX750W
Sound card: Creative SoundBlaster X-Fi XtremeGamer
Hard drive: Western Digital Caviar 320GB
Optical drive: HP 1160d 22x DVD burner

What do you think? If it was sold in that configuration today? Mind, I'm not selling it, but I'm curious.

I don't think much more than $700 on here.

About $700 give or take was what I was guessing. The Q9550 is a bit better than the Phenom 9850, and the 4870+4850 is more powerful than 4850+4830.

Yeah, $700.

And are you serious? The Q9550 is still faster clock-for-clock than any Phenom II out there, and it generally hits higher clock speeds...

The q9550 overclocked is significantly better than the Phenom I series all together...on par with the Phenom II quad core series

Heh, didn't know quite how much better the Q9550 is. I knew the Phenom Is weren't very good, but... What would the 9850 equal, something like a Q8200?

$550? That's entirely too low; I can't see a system like this being sold for less than $700

Does $550 sound about right for what it is now (before upgrade)? E2200 @3.15GHz and a single 4870, otherwise identical.
