Hi, I am in process of building my first pc, my question is can I take my old harddrive from the old computer and put it in my built pc and boot normally with all my files still on there? Thanks. As always +rep for help
You should be able to but it depends. I believe the OEM version of windows doesn't allow you to swap motherboards, or maybe it was some other version, I forget. As long as it wasn't in raid and its a SATA HDD then you should be able to put it in your new system no problem, otherwise there may or may not be issues depending on both of the systems.
