My first custom loop!!!!

I just received the the last parts for my loop which were the fittings and I will be starting my build today.

Here are the parts I have that are going into the build.....

1. Siftech MCP655 pump with speed control
2. Bitspower D5 pump top (black)
3. EK Supreme HF Acetal CPU block
4. RX360 Radiator
5. FrozenQ T-Virus 160mm res
6. Danger Den fillport
7. Gentle Typhoon 3000rpm 120mm fans x's 3
8. Silver coil
9. Primochill 1/2"x3/4" red tubing (10ft)
10. A bunch of bitspower black rotary compression fittings
11. Bitspower "Y" connector and 3/4" plug to make a drain for my loop.

I also bought a primochill funnel that screws into the fill port on the top of my case but I had no clue how small the damn thing is. I mean the thing was $10 and the diameter of it is a lot smaller than the diameter of a can of pop. Im going to buy a different funnel and attach a hose and fitting on it and use that instead of the primochill funnel.

Im still trying to figure out which way I am going to route the tubing and mount the pump but ill figure that out when I start the install.

All of this is going into my sig rig and ill post up pictures when im done.

I still have a bunch of air bubbles in my res. Is it really true that 1 drop of dawn dish soap will help get rid of them?

Well I got everything together and tested for leaks for about 2 hours. So far so good. I am going to test some more after work today then take some pictures. I cant believe how quiet the MCP655 pump is once the air gets out.

Done! Pics added!
I have to do a little more cable management and install my intake fan on the rear of the case.

So far after running a Prime95 torture test for a half hour, my temps seem to hold steady at 39c. Ill see if that holds up.

It pretty much looks like sex. Do you have your fans blowing into the case or out the top?

Lol thank you. I have the 3 fans on the radiator blowing air out. I just have a corsair 140mm fan on the rear (not shown in the pictures) and I want something a little better because its making a lot of noise so I was thinking of getting an additional Gentle Typhoon 3000rpm and using that to pull fresh air in from the rear of the case but they are sold out everywhere.

If I were you, I would add shrouds to your radiator fans. They will take away the dead spot at the fan motor, and move the heat of the fan away from the fins.

Besides that, really nice build. You should sleeve those wires in the back near the I/O shield. They stand out a little. Maybe even think about sleeving your Power supply 24 cables and your Vid card wires. It would just tie the whole thing together. +rep.

Thanks a lot. I will look into a shroud. Any recommendations for one? And yeah, I want to sleeve my cables but I never did it myself before and im hesitant to try cuz I dont want to mess anything up. I would love to send all my cables somewhere to get a black/red/ braid done.

Its easy and easy to practice. Go to Walmart, grab a roll of cheap wire. Then go grab some sleeve and heat shrink. And practice. All you need is a butane pencil torch. it will give you the best control of heat on the cheap. just slowly wave the heat back and forth over the cable. stretch out the sleeving and zip tie it down. then heat shrink the other side. if you just do it over and over, you'll get confidence enough to do it in the computer. If not, check out This. This is why I recommend doing it yourself. You can buy extensions for all your cables, in most any color you want, but its expensive. Its cheaper to buy the extentions and do them yourself.

Thanks a lot! Yeah that is pretty expensive to have them do it for me. I was looking on their site and they want over $300 to braid all my PS cables.

Nice! I just ordered my wc stuff a week ago. I also bought black compression fittings - nice to see them in their natural environment. Very good work!

I want to do the GPU but didnt want to add it into the loop just yet since I am planning on getting a 2nd 6970 and will add them both at the same time.
