So after waiting and waiting and waiting my motherboard finally arrives today. Here's the unboxing
I was hoping that it would have a copper backplate like my GA-M59SLI-S5 but it's got aluminum

Once I get a case and put the system together, I'll make a thread for benchies.

Well if you're looking for an Athlon II X4, you can get the 630 for 96.61 and 620 for less than $90 currently. Just check out the deal I posted in the online deals section.

Want to ask , what if Athlon II X4 620 2.6Ghz overclock to 2.8Ghz , will the performance benchmark same as Athlon II X4 630 2.8Ghz stock ?
DO NOT enable Easy Saver CPU throttling. Its a great program to show how much wattage ur cpu is using but when i enable the cpu throttle option my computer makes a high pitch wining and performance suffers.

Well the difference between the 2 is the multiplier. The 620 is set at 13 and the 630 is set at 14. I like processors with higher multy's so the 630 was my option.

Uhm...okay let's see

Your CPU's clock speed (i.e. Mhz or Ghz) is determined by it's Frequency x it's multiplier

All AMD CPU's have a base frequency of 200. Some (the black editions) have unlocked multipliers so you can change it as you please. Others (pretty much all the other processors) have locked multipliers.

So Athlon II X4 620's clock speed is 2600Mhz or 2.6Ghz (200 x 13)
So Athlon II X4 630's clock speed is 2800Mhz or 2.8Ghz (200 x 14)

So when you get the Athlon II 620 to 250 on frequency it's clock speed is 3250Mhz (250 x 13)
So when you get the Athlon II 630 to 250 on frequency it's clock speed is 3500Mhz (250 x 14)

So in general , higher multiplier will benefit higher overclock ability ? so will it be hard for Athlon II 620 to go up to 3.0Ghz ?

It's not the highest OC ability per say but better a lower frequency to reach the same results or more.

Dude you got yourself one sweet mobo, I love mine, i was just as excited as you were, except, i had a silly athlon 64 6000+ a decent chip, but way to hot, and dosen't oc well on air.

Its def a solid mobo for sure too, too bad they havent made a bios update for the 965 yet though
thats my only sadness.

I love that GFX card spacing. You could do SLI with some gnarly triple slot, aftermarket cooler.

Well Crossfire but yeah
The only thing that sucks and I hope they fix it (probably not) in the 890GX is that Crossfire is only 8x / 8x instead of 16x / 16x. They are reserving the 16x / 16x Crossfire specifically for the FX series chipset when it should be at least an option on the GX and X series chipsets. If you click the link in my sig, you can see my build so far.
