I previously opened all my video files in winamp untill I decided to start playing them in VLC player...they are all VLC player default...however it still shows the winamp icons? whats wrong here?
Is WinAmp running it's background or taskbar service that would then restore program defaults back to WinAmp? Make sure to uncheck all video file associations in the WinAmp settings (I believe they have a quick 'Select All Video Extensions' shortcut or something of the sort).
Then just associate the extensions to VLC through Windows, or by rerunning the VLC install and selecting the files you want associated.
