OMG life has not been going well for me these days. First off, I broke a CPU socket pin on my motherboard while attempting to wipe the thermal paste on the CPU retainer clip. I sent my board in for RMA with Asus. Luckily, they sent me a new board back, which I received today. BUT the board is DOA!!! I tried everything, but cannot get the board to boot. My roommate and I ended up trying to swap components all afternoon, and my CPU and RAM worked perfectly in his board.
On top of all of this, My video card is now all of a sudden broken too. Honestly, ***!!!! It makes a loud screeching noise, and when I put it into my roommate's computer, it refuses to boot.
I have submitted an RMA for my video card, and resubmitted an RMA for my motherboard. I don't want to go another month (thats how long the Asus RMA took) without my computer, but what choice do I have.
Another part that pisses me off is that I installed a Thermaltake DuOrb on my video card. From my understanding, I cannot re-use the Ramsinks. Does anyone know how if there is a way to reuse them (ie make the thermal tape remain sticky)? If not, is there somewhere I can buy ramsinks? I don't want my DuOrb to go to waste.
Sorry, I really needed to vent. It was either this, or I throw my computer out of my second story window. If anyone has any ideas on what I should do/try, I am open to suggestions.

True, however I doubt he forgot to plug in the six pin on two different computers.
