Hey folks,

well i have previously posted a Paint picture on my design but now i have something better, if you would like more pics just ask,

also any comments or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Each component is givin the floating look with cold cathode lights under each,

Thanks for looking and stay tuned as its now under construction

notes- Trimmed in Marine Vinyl, Carbon fibe contact will be used ont he interior , the PSU is hidden with wiring going out through back hiden panel,

all exposed wires will be in purple weaved sleeveing,

clear perpex front panel will have a Etched frosted "High Volatage" Badge,

the unit will have a Gaming and Standard Fan Modes on controller.

if i see people posting about this i will add more detailed pictures.

Thanks so much for looking a lil motivation is all i need now !

also where you see grid mesh, it will be BLack 3mm Stainless steel mesh, Crimsafe actually !! he he

I really really like that concept, but how are you suppose to plug into the video card and I/O connectors? And would there be enough room with the front 3 fans to mount a W/C radiator?

I was wondering about that too. Maybe you can flip the board so the plugs are on the bottom but then you need some high enough case feet to access them. Smexy concept though!

nah guys.... the whole idea of having the mobo secluded in the case is to not have any wires comin out the sides.... front on it will sit on a shelf or mount to a wall. the idea is for all cables to come round through the back and then plug into the respective place. the perspex window comes out for ease of install and i was actually going to design this with a radiator and w/c and i can tell you that it would fit W/C very well.... and my fans have the right clearance to even hide the cables a lil and also the PSU will have the cable out the back too

Also a Thermaltake 3/120 watercool radiator will fit perfectly, i just modified it for W/C and it looks not bad... wanta pic?

notice i have just chnaged the fake wall colour to grey so the whole show up. see how PSU wiring is routed to where it need be ? i love that idea and would look the part to!

I really like the idea of having two rear walls, but I would give it a bit more space. If you have to use a DVI-VGA adapter or something like that, you won't be able to plug your monitor in because of the fans/rad
i see your point however that measurement was with adapters, i need to ever think use one, but im sure i'd like the option if faced.

the fan air flow wont be disturbed as where it will mount it right inline with the break in fans..

That's some crazy purple you're putting on there. I've never seen a deep purple on a computer like this before, should be interesting.
+rep for cool design

I like it. It's actually remarkably similar in a lot of ways to a concept for a scratch build I had.

You do need to be careful about clearance. Everything is bigger in practice than in sketchup I've discovered. I think I ended up figuring that a solid 4 inches clearance was needed from mobo I/O back plane to back of the case for this configuration (fans included), and that was pushing it.

I really like the form factor though. Low and squat is very cool. You might want to take a look at the Lian Li A05 series for ideas on layout. Lian Li has pretty much perfected the front mount PSU there with a wildly popular design that has stood the test of time. It focuses on reversed airflow (back to front), and has its issues there, but your internal rear I/O design would compensate for many of them.

As far as future proofing for watercooling, remember to keep your fans at a 15mm spacing for fan holes. (basically have the fans be flush with each other when mounted). This seems to be the standard that the industry is gravitating to.

on the purple too.

Hey thanks mate i really appreciate the feedback, with regards to your measurement and real scale comment, i have taken a measuing tape to pretty much every part i need and everything is in scale even down to my PSU,

i need help with a power buttom tho, 4 pins on the back of it lit ring when off and no led when on. im just ripping a reset button out of a old pc i have here.

Marine Trimmed Purple Vinyl will look the part i think, and this hopefully will be made out of 10mmMDF so should be sturdy too.

Any more hints i'd love to hear em !

That baffles me.

Do you have any pictures of it? Where did it come from again?

Sorry if you told me already. I've actually had multiple power button question PM's in the last week or so. I've got them all jumbled in my head.

Gosh 20$ for a switch, and after shipping its 30$!
after US conversion it's 60 ! lol...... its all good, the actual case should only cost me around 90 and totally custom so.. i dont mind..

Plus i only used it as reference as 88 wants to see what switch i am using..
oh ya, x3 what the usa price for aus, that sucks.
Nice man, so your building that totally from scratch? If so plus rep and good luck, i am sure you can pull it off.
