Well, my new monitor arrived. I ordered a Qnix from the seller Esmstart, for $295. The next lowest for the Qnix was dream-seller at $368. It shipped on Wednesday, and arrived on Saturday in Portland. Very good time.

The picture is perfect. No dead pixels to be found anywhere, and minimal backlight bleed. I am playing SWTOR on it as I type this mini review.

It is well constructed, and fairly heavy. The stand attaches to the VESA mount. It has both tilt and swivel. It is pretty stiff doing either of those things, but once set stays in place. The monitor base is heavy, as my toe found out..... There is very little wobble, and the monitor sits straight. No leans either way.

The box included an adapter/transformer for the Korean power cable that works just fine. I am using the included dual link DVI cable, and that works fine as well. It's a bit on the short side, but good enough for my uses.

The entire extent of my setup was to unbox everything, snap the stand into place, plug it in and turn it on. That's it. Works flawlessly.

I really couldn't be happier with this monitor. It's the best computer component purchase I have made in a very long time.

I'll try and get some pictures tonight or tomorrow. I love the way it looks. Though the logo on the bezel could be smaller.

Yes, the stand it comes with just attaches to the VESA mount. 4 screws and it's off, ready for a new one. Much better than taking the case apart.

Did it come with a 100-220V adapter or 220 only? I don't see any sellers selling one with a "bonus" of 110V working adapter.

It came with a 220 only. But they threw in an adapter/transformer thing that works great.

When you get pictures, could you do one of that as well? is it just a plug-type converter or an actual 220-110 xformer?

Also, how ((if there were any) were the interactions with the seller? This is a new one to me (i've been pondering these damn monitors since feb.), so I'm just curious.

Interested in pictures as well. Seems these monitors are starting to build some stream. Track record so far is literally no dead pixels and little to no backlight bleed.

Here are some photos. Apologies in advance. My only camera is my phone, and it's a really bad one.

This is side by side. The Qnix on the right, and my older Gateway on the left.

A closer shot.

The bottom bezel and logo.

The stand. Very heavy. Dropped it on my foot and found out the hard way.

Power, brightness and volume buttons. Yes, it has speakers built in. Haven't used them though.

Top left corner bezel and logo shot.

The stand. Note that it attaches to the VESA mount. Makes it easy to change.

I was unable to get a picture of the adapter plug transformer thing, since it is in place behind my desk, and I really dread dragging all that stuff back out.

I guess worst case with these re: power adapter is I buy one of the 25$ ones off ebay to get the 110v rated one. I'm not one to double the current draw of an adapter, working in a place that has to design power supply circuits for aviation (where voltage can vary from 14 to 28 volts nominal, spike or drop even higher/lower).

Here are some pictures of the packaging the adapter/transformer thing was in. Not sure if it helps any. But the power brick isn't even warm, so I am guessing it must be doing something right.

This make and model has me very interested. I thought I had it narrowed down to a Shimian or a Crossover. I'm surprised this thread isn't taking off a bit more.

When I started researching these Korean monitors, a common thread was that the stand sucked. And that it was tough to take off the old one. I figured that the picture would be the same from brand to brand, so what I looked for was a stand that didn't suck. And an overall nice appearance. And that is exactly what I got. The stand is at least as sturdy as the stand on my Gateway 16:10 24 incher sitting next to it. No need to replace it with a different one.

That's what I am looking at also. Stand looks solid, and easily replaceable. Same monitor panel as the Crossover, Catleap, and Shimian. Cheaper price. I have not seen anyone say anything about dead pixels or backlight bleed. Could also be misleading cause there are not nearly as many sold as the more popular brands.

Yep. No dead pixels. If I turn the brightness all the way up, on a black screen in a dark room I can see a little bleed on the bottom right. But at normal brightness I can't see it at all.

I got one of these yesterday. I think it looks great picture wise, the stand is flimsy but seems functional. I have one dead pixel but I went into this knowing its a lottery. I don't noticeing any bleeding but I'm not exactly an expert and I don't really know how to check. I live in Canada and I didn't really want to buy online in case it was DOA so this was the only option for me as a local store got some in. Overall i'm very pleased.

I have a question about the power supply (forgive me as I know very little about this). So the moniter plugs into the brick looking thing, and another cord plugs into the brick which has the Korean plug on it, then I use the adapter shown by Scannal to plug the korean plug into my powerbar. Can i just ditch the Korean plug and adapter and plug a regular power supply cable into the brick??? It fits but I didn't want to do it without asking someone who knows better? The reason I ask is because the i can't tell which way to plug the adapter in, it doesn't fit snugly into the power bar, and it doesn't have the third point on the plug (which is the ground right?) Regardless it sketches me out so I'd thought I'd ask! Any help is appreciated!!!
