Please check page 7 for further updates! I am back at it again with another idea!

Ok, so I am finally fed up with the noise of my case. Don't get me wrong, air has been good to me, but try talking on the phone near my PC. People think I am at the airport.

So, I am going to be getting a water cooling setup. The parts I list here are gathered from the FAQs and threads I have read over. Money doesn't really concern me as I want good components and not some pre-configured kit. Most likely, by the time all is said and done, I will have invested over $200 into this project ($294.13 so far). But it will be an investment in quality parts that will provide me with the results and longevity I am looking for. Also, keep in mind, I do SOME modding, but don't mind if some of the work is handled for me. Things like painting, attachment of fittings, etc, I would rather have all set out of the box for me as I have a busy life (kids and such) and can't dedicate too much time to just my PC.

So here goes:

1. It's here! Danger Den Double Heater Core AKA '77 Bonnie Core with Fittings
With 1/2" fittings and fan shroud. -$57.47

2. Nevermind, I just bought a Stinger Via Aqua 1300!
Another quality fstfrddy product. -$35.00

3. It's here! Typhoon - Dual Bay Reservoir
With 1/2" fittings. -$31.95

4. Nevermind, I am now the proud owner of Stinger Block #1!!!
One of a kind, handmade block. -$100.00

5. Nevermind, I bought ThaWaxShop's Maze 4...
Good price from a reliable source. -$35.00

6. Nevermind, I found 2 Nidec Beta V's at work, #TA450DC...
Free, sleeved, and moves a lot of air. -$0.00

7. Tie Wraps, UV reactive From Home Depot, 500 ct.
Yes I said Home Depot. -$5.99

8. Arrived! 10' of tubing
Does not kink easily at all. -$12.75

9. 1 gallon of Peak Battery and Radiator Mineral Free Water
Designed for this kind of job. -$2.99

10. Water Wetter
Do I need to explain this? -$7.99

11. It's here! Dual 12 inch Cold Cathode Kit - UV from VoyeurMods
Good price. -$4.99

If you have any other suggestions, please provide a link to it. Opinions/recommendations are greatly appreciated!

i would suggest the following mate,

A Hydor 40 pump with 450gpm of flow which is in my opinion one of the best pumps in the market.

a danger den black ice extreme III radiator. the rest seems pretty good and were actually the stuff which i was looking at myself for my next rig.

but i would suggest that instead of that particular fluid, u might wanna try a mixture of glycol and distilled water? saying this because glycol has a huge heat transfer coefficient and also can in the future be brought down to about freezing temps if u decide to do so.

If your getting uv reactive fluid then get clear tubing and resivoir.
What Waxshop said...my d-5 is great. I have the Swiftech version...mp655...same pump. Only way I can tell it's on is the waves in the res.

i dont quite get ur meaning but if u r asking if danger den makes it, i dont think so. it is made by an italian company and sold here and it is a centrifugal pump which is one of the best type of pumps.

btw, try and read the following before u build the system.

Yea, the tubing is clear and the res can be too. Good idea. The DangerDen store is of course blocked by my works proxy, but I will check it out when I get home. Thanks for the help so far guys! Keep it comin'!

Do you mind noise? My l35 is loudest thing in all 4 pcs I run at home.

OK boys and girls, time for fan recommendations. I am looking at either 2x120mm Sunon, Panaflo, or EverCool. These are going to be put on the heatercore from dangerden with the shroud.

EDIT: Yea, Wax I did! LOL on the simul-post!
