I have this decent Compaq V6420US laptop with 15.4" screen. But its kind a 3 years old, and I need to get rid of. So Iam looking for netbook, that it can play videos on that netbook screen, and browse enternet. My goal is $300 and below. Is there any good netbook you guys can recommend?

for 15$ more you can buy an HPmini 1000..and at least get 2GB's of RAM and a larger screen resolution...I have one, and use it daily for work..it rocks

*must say, I have used the Acer and Asus models as well [few of my buddies have them]..dont really care for the 'square' screens...the widescreen format is much nicer for documents etc, on these netbooks..as you never have to scroll left and right to view full page.

I just ordered the HP 311-1025nr..with Nvidia Ion chipset and N280 1.66ghz, 667mhz FSB +3GB's of 1066mhz DDR3 and Win7...threw in the 250GB HDD ..all for a hair over 600$
