hey guys i asked about a build a long time ago but i realize things move alot in the computer world in a year, so i figured i would ask again since i am now seriously ready to start purchasing parts.

right now i am really into world of warcraft and my computer is just getting by on mid-low settings (specs are in sig)

im looking to spend 1000-2000$ canadian on the computer, basically EVERYTHING that go's in the case is what i need, as well as a case.

last time i checked the intel core 2 duo E6700 was the chip i would like to build around. i have no clue what motherboard to mate it up to, would like to go crossfire though, im thinking of going with at least 2gb of ram, not sure what type, what should i get for a video card/power supply/hard drive? anything im missing?

Personally I'd wait till intel price cuts (3 days) then build. I'll have you a rig in a sec. Do you need peripherals (monitor, mouse etc)?

thanks for the advice on waiting for a price cut, that will help alot, just going to begin gathering parts, build it slowly

ive got a 15" lcd at the moment which i know is small but im planning on using a 42" or larger LCD tv in the future as my screen so im not worrying about a screen right now, just everything inside the case

looks like a very nice build, thanks
any reason for not going for the E6700?
any way you could do a crossfire build for me as well? never really been an nvidea fan, so unless there is a large difference in price/quality that would be my preference. ill hang tight on ordering anything until the price drops on the intel chips though for sure.

nevermind on the crossfire build, ive looked into it now myself and things have changed since i last saw what was out there, SLI seems like the way to go by far. couple questions though, on the nvidea site they reccomended getting SLI approved ram, should i bother with that? if so i found some on tigerdirect from PNY are they any good? other than that i think im good. im going to go to their store tomorrow and start picking up a few things, see if they have any cases there that i like. any other advice would be appreciated
