Alrighty, i'm looking for a new PSU. doesn't need to be future proof though as in the future i wouldn't mind getting two PSUs. You can see my rig below and i have the standard fans plus 1x120, 1x80 and 1set of UVccfls. So what would you recommend? i'm looking for something under $100, but if i can't get a good PSU for that, then i'll spend more.
This one good?
Or THIS for $60 cheaper.

(they're all from Fry's because i hope to go to Fry's today)

The PC P&C would be the best selection out of the 3, but the Enermax is still a nice PSU. The decision here is how much you are willing to spend, just don't get the Ultra PSU I have only heard bad things about them.

Finally a response! do you think the PCP&C would be worth the extra $60?

Personally I would go with PC P&C because they are very reliable company and make excellect quality PSUs. You won't regret it!

i guess i can add that to my list of upgrade expenses. 160- PSU, 300- WC, and later one 500- 6400+mobo, 300- RAM. that would drain almost ALL of the 1500 in my savings account.

The Silencers are great, and from what I've heard, single rail PSUs (like the Silencer) provide greater stability on Intel systems.

why would you want 2 psus? just get one good psu and never look back. The silencer 610 it a great unit. If you want quiet the Seasonic S12-600 is quieter and just as stable

I mean for a DX-10 system. reported as 250W each? i would need my 610 and another PSU for the card (s).

-edit- that seasonic looks pretty good for $10 cheaper. (every bit saved is more money for fans!)

Get the PC Power & Cooling. 49A on a single rail. Should be enough even for a single DX10 card in that rig! The Seasonic S12 is nice also, but only delivers 36A on dual 12V rails, which is substantially less.

Get the PC Power & Cooling, and indeed don't look back until you get that second DX10 card.

If you will add a second PSU no matter what, then I'd recommend the OCZ GameXStream units. These units are identical to the FSP Epsilon series of PSUs, of which I have the 700W version. The 600W pushes 44A on the 12V rails, while the 700W unit delivers 50A. For your rig, the 600W version should be enough:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...NE&N=0&Ntk=all

i think i will stick with the PCP&C. i'm going to pass by Fry's on the way back from school (we have to meet there and return there for a wrestling weigh in at a different school, we're travelling as a team) so i will see if i can find an ATM so i can use the card a i have and have my friend stop by fry's on our way home .
