Hey guys I have these 2 subs from my brothers old car and my friend burnt the amp to it but I'm pretty sure that the subs are fine they are 2 800w 4ohm subs 15inch? i think or they are 12 but who cares about the size
. Anyways my friend told me that it was 1000w for them or is it higher or lower?

here's a picture of one sub

Any info will be helpful!

Thanks!

And I know how I'm going to power the subs in my house by using a PC subwoofer!

Is that a Single Voice Coil or Dual Voice Coil? And you are looking for a car amplifier, correct?

Bump?!
Anyone?
Well from the very few sources that had any information on them said it was made in 1997, retailed right around $100 each, and it is a 4 ohm SVC (Single Voice Coil ) 12" sub with a maximum input of 800 W max. I personally wouldn't throw much more than 3-400 RMS on one, from a good amp.

At least you explained it better lol so... I would basicly wasting my time and money on buying a amp for them?

EDIT: OR Can you reconmmend me 2 12 inch subs and a amp that will do pretty good?

I wouldn't say that you would be wasting your time, as I think you are trying to use them in the house, however, the subs themselves are not all that great. Regardless they will move air which means they will make sound, lol. If you are desperate to use them, I would pick up one or two of those pre-fabbed enclosures and go from there. As far as what amp to go with them, well thats a decision based on your tastes and budget. If this project is just something to tinker with one of those el cheapo pyramid/legacy/sony amps will do the trick, if you want real power/quality, your gonna "have to pay to play".

Whats your budget for all new subs and amps?

These were my brothers old subs I can't remember if he gave them to a friend or he sold them to him but he blew the amp that came with them and so on ans so forth. I currently have a z2300 speaker system and they are awesome exept the subwoofer sounds like its blown...Which is no biggy because the subs for them are cheap and you can get better performance out of the ones you bought in and put in your self..I did have one lined up for replacement but went out of stock..I love bass and would like to get 2 new speakers and a amp I don't want to spend a grand on it just at least 150 maybe a little more.

Sorry, not much I can recommend for sub(s) AND an amp for that range. I am a little uncertain though about what kind of amp you are really looking for. If you plan on keeping the sub(s) in the house and never putting them in a vehicle then I would suggest using a plate amp (commonly used in H/T setups) or if you ARE going to put them in a vehicle later on, buying a car audio amp, and deal with how to give the amp 12-14 volts.

I have the 5300's sitting in a box because I have the 5500's now, but I do know that if you wanted to just replace the sub, you would be better off putting the replacement in a different enclosure as the 5300's sub is mounted in a 4th order bandpass enclosure and you will destroy the box while trying to get to the driver.

Here is a nice plate amp, even though it is way out of your budget,

Or maybe use one of these BASH amps with one of your 12" subs in a ported enclosure.

Another thought I just had is to take the plate amp out of the 5300 sub enclosure, build/buy another enclosure, cutout the area to mount the amp, and just use that amp on one of those subs.
While I was reading your replys which is really informing! I was thinking just switch out the z2300 sub and put the car subs back in their little spot lol. When I get a job I'll see about getting proper stuff for them.SO now looking for a sub woofer for the 2300 if you visit my youtube page www.youtube.com/rebel4055 you see a recent video of my sub like cracking and other stuff lol. I heard JL and RE are good brands and seen 2 people use both subs for their z2300s one guy gave me a link for a RE sub but they are out of stock so any info would be great and the price range can possibly be up to 90 dollars USD thanks again
Ya that sounds like the VC has jumped the gap a time or two there, and just so you know those little subs were never designed to take "basshead abuse" like that. I am not sure what size sub the 2300 series has but would imagine it to be 10" or less. My 5500 has what some call a "HUGE sub", and it's only a 10".
As far as RE and JL Audio products go, without a doubt some of the best stuff on the market. I personally run a single 15" RE SX off a JBL 1200.1 ( a little under 1500 RMS) in my jeep. Crazy, stupid loud for a single sub setup. You can find the RE RE/SR series on fleaybay or ask around in some car audio forums.
I just looked and the 2300 series uses a single 8" driver. So ya trying to stuff a 12" in there might be an interesting task, lol, make sure to film it

http://www.audiosavings.com/products...bf.r3a8bd.aspx and that is the sub that the guy told me to get since its dual 4ohm and wireing it would make it 8 ohms
Stop buying horrible brands and buy something good like Kicker or Fosgate.
