Need Help Choosing Monitor!!!

Ok guys here is my dilemma....

I dont know what monitor to get!!!
I'm basically going back and forth between getting these monitors:
Acer H233H $219shipped
ASUS VW246H $269shipped
ASUS VH242H $249shipped

Edit: Ok after all the great advice in the thread ive decided to save money and go with an ASUS monitor since its about $100. But now i was searching good old newegg and found the Acer H233H which is $219, so now im wondering about these ACER monitors, lol. Damn i haven't had a problem like this in i don't know how long. The nice thing about the ACER monitors is their 40,000:1 contrast ratio apposed to ASUS's 20000:1 also the ACER has a smaller pixel pitch as well.

Both ASUS monitors your listing there are great, I'd go for the VW246H out the list you've got there.
But if you are in the need of an inbuilt TV Tuner the T240 is also a sweet monitor

You should consider the Samsung 2433HD or SW. The first has a built-in TV tuner and speakers, just like the T240HD, and the second one is a monitor only. They are still 24"-class monitors (23.5, I believe), 1920 X 1080, only they are wall/arm mount compatible and have a higher contrast ratio - all for less money than the T240. Plus, I'm personally very annoyed by the red color of some of the newest Samsung offerings. I chose the 23" version of the monitor I'm recommending, and I have two of them now, one to use as a primary monitor and the other is now my bedroom TV.

I can't speak to the Acer products you chose, but I do know it's hard to beat Samsung for qualitty.
Oops, looks like the TV-tuner version only comes in 23". Model number is 2333HD. I scored one for $300 at Office Depot a couple of weeks ago.

I really need to get my model numbers straight before I speak. Sorry about that

T240HD. Maybe a biased opinion, but Samsung makes better monitors than Asus. Also Sammy's look way better.

Here you are: 2333HD at Office Depot

Price went up to $350 since I got mine, but you could always wait for a sale.

What kind of price difference between them? If price is about the same, I would go for T240HD. Otherwise, I would get the VW246H.

I'd say no. ASUS make really good monitors as well. I've seen ASUS up against other montors from Samsung among other brands in a local store.. you won't miss out on anything by going ASUS.

Samsung make absolutely good montiors as well, but monitors from each of the companies of basically same specs up against each other.. you won't see any noticeble difference..
I, too, am thinking of making the switch to Asus monitors.

I have had Samsung, they're great. I currently have a ViewSonic...too expensive and won't buy again.

I am looking at picking up two of these to replace my current ViewSonic.

the T240 is like another 100bucks, so thats why im curious about the asus quality because both monitors have the same specs just the samsung monitors are about 100$ more. Also why did u pick the VW246H over the VH242H?

Give them a try, I went ASUS monitors a while back, and don't regret it for a second and don't have any plans to change to anything else any time soon. I love my current ASUS monitor especially!

They make great monitors with high quality at really nice prices.

I'm basically going back and forth between getting these monitors:
Samsung T240HD
Samsung T240 (also whats the difference between LS24TWHSUV/ZC and LS24TWHSUV/ZA)
ASUS VW246H
ASUS VH242H

Now the reason i like the T240HD is that it has a built in TV Tuner and i can control everything with a remote like volume and switching inputs and turning it off while im in bed. But i always see people saying just buy a tv tuner card its better than anything built in. So please help me out!!! Im open to suggestions too!
I've got the T260HD and I love it.

yea...regular Wizard of Oz syndrome...

<cue music> "...if I only had a brain..." </cue music>

seriously though, I agree. I only see more inputs--that is once I pulled up the proper products...

I'm asking in this thread because I believe the answer could benefit us both...

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824236050

read the review from Alex (at the bottom).

Is there any merit to this? Or IYO is this an isolated incident??
