Sorry, been away about a year now, need to get update on what AMD has released and what you guys thought about it...

Anyone care to help me out?

Piledriver Vishera FX CPU's came out last fall, about 15% performance over Bulldozer. About 10% from clock speed and 5% from IPC. Good improvements in efficiency.

Steamroller should be out this fall with another 15% improvement, this time mostly in IPC. Should be the same socket, I'd wager in a new chipset though.

Yes, I.P.C. performance of Vishera is improved versus Zambezi's but less than Thuban's.
