I'm about to install said full cover waterblock on said video card, which has been confirmed by EKWB to fit each other. And, I don't know who would not want to keep the sexy backplate that comes with their EVGA 980 ti Classified video card. But to do so, I've read that the M3x4 screws that are included with the EKWB 780 Classy waterblock have to be replaced with longer M3x8 screws.

I've circled all the screws that apparently fastens on EVGA's backplate.

So these are all the screws that I need to replace?

Thank you.

Hi,

You might even try some M3x6 if I remember correctly.

Also, Yes all the circled ones needs to be replaced except the 4 circled ones around the GPU die. Those won't be used with the EK block.

I ended up getting five of these. 3Mx8 flat-head hex screws.

These screws fit nice and snug with the countersunk holes in the backplate. I found them at my local mom and pop Aubuchon Hardware store. My local Lowes and Home Depot didn't have anything smaller than 4M.

The EK FC 780 Classy waterblock only has five holes that lined up with the EVGA backplate, as I numbered here in blue. For the screws that have no holes in the waterblock, I crossed out.

Everything fit together perfectly. Thanks for the replies.
