Hey I bought a new 13700k too. I couldn't figure out why my core clock speeds (P-core 5.3 and E-core 4.2) are always constant in this processor. Can someone help me? How can I fix it? I don't want the core clock to go up when I'm not taking action. When I save in power mode, the core clock speeds drop. View attachment 2585702
Which motherboard?

Thank you for the answer stahlhart. I'm sorry to forget to say my mobo's model. yes it is tuf z690 d4.

I think I need to enable c-state. It is currently on auto.
Also, what should I do about Package c state limit? you defined it as 8.
What difference would it make if I set this value to 6.7 or 8?
To be honest, I just chose 8 arbitrarily after seeing in in an overclocking guide in my travels that I can no longer remember now. There are folks here who know way more about this than I do, but I think C1E is about where you get started with the adaptive power management behavior.

I'm not sure if C6, C7 or C8 difference would have any bearing on performance -- I just more or less set it to 8 and forgot about it, because everything seems to be working correctly here and I'm not noticing any degradation in performance.
