I'm using adaptive voltage with a negative offset, core ratio of (58x2,57x4,56x6,55x8), 50 ring, and 43 e-core. I hit a wall going above 5800mhz. I had to increase the voltage substantially in order to pass geekbench 5 above 5800mhz and it really wasn't worth it for me. This is my gaming setup...

Hey I bought a new 13700k too. I couldn't figure out why my core clock speeds (P-core 5.3 and E-core 4.2) are always constant in this processor. Can someone help me? How can I fix it? I don't want the core clock to go up when I'm not taking action. When I save in power mode, the core clock speeds drop.

Do you have adaptive mode and C-states enabled in your motherboard, and a balanced like power plan in windows?
My bios settings are as follows:

I don't have adaptive mode (I was using adaptive when I capture the video last night. Then I changed it and made everything auto), but I used a balanced power plan in windows. When I use it in power saver mode, the frequency is minimum 1100 to maximum 2500 for P-core; For e-core, it is in the range of minimum 900 to maximum 4200. There is a serious loss of performance. That's why I use it in balanced mode.
C-states is on Auto mode.

Thank you for the answer stahlhart. I'm sorry to forget to say my mobo's model. yes it is tuf z690 d4.

I think I need to enable c-state. It is currently on auto.
Also, what should I do about Package c state limit? you defined it as 8.
What difference would it make if I set this value to 6.7 or 8?

To be honest, I just chose 8 arbitrarily after seeing in in an overclocking guide in my travels that I can no longer remember now. There are folks here who know way more about this than I do, but I think C1E is about where you get started with the adaptive power management behavior.

I'm not sure if C6, C7 or C8 difference would have any bearing on performance -- I just more or less set it to 8 and forgot about it, because everything seems to be working correctly here and I'm not noticing any degradation in performance.
Thank you very much for your suggestions mate. It really worked. power saving dropped to 17watts when idle. Also my cpu frequency speed dropped to 800 at idle, not 5.3 all the time. Thank you so much again for your suggestion.(y):)
