Need help overclocking Phenom 9500

Hello, need a bit of help here. It seems I can't get my Phenom up to even 2.4ghz. I've tried pretty much everything: Lowering memory to 667 first, and then lowering HTlink multi, upping vcore and everything else but it's still not stable at all. The funny thing is, If i lower the vcore with everything else the same, it's a little bit more stable. I also get the BSOD in windows 7 x64 with: A clock interrupt was not recieved on the secondary processor within the allotted time... I've read that this means it needs more volts... I've tried that. Made it less stable. I don't believe heat's the issue, I'm at 34C idle. I have also turned off C1E cool n quiet and all those other things. Please help.

Should have gotten at least a Phenom X4 9X50. Ur not going anywhere with that cpu but straight to trouble.
Kinda got it when it came out...
My CPU load temp is 50-52C.
A max of a mid 50c is fine.
Sorry to to say, your core is not know for OCing well

Dom, Ignore CD..... Raise the cpu voltage. Mid 50's is still good for the chip. What do you have NB frequency at and voltage???

BSOD can be many things not just memory. Put NB at 1800Mhz and stock voltage on NB. Play around with CPU voltage. Do not be afraid of 1.5-1.55V as long as load temps are mid 50's....

Get CCleaner and run it to clean registry. Sometimes bad registry files may cause a BSOD.

Well, as I have raised the voltage and put the nb at 1800Mhz, I still cannot boot into windows. I tried raising the voltage on the nb, and of course i match the nb with the ht link
. It freezes at the starting windows logo thingie. My registry is fine. Oddly enough, if i lower the cpu and nb vid, i can boot into windows, but after a while I get, The secondary processor failed to receive a clock interrupt within the allocated time.

That is overvolting on CPU. Play around with NB voltage at this point.

I am really having a tough time now. I can't get it to even boot into windows. Any suggestions for voltages for NB and SB, or suggested settings to start?
EDIT: actually i have it on 2.3ghz stable @ 1.275v. Only a 100Mhz increase though. Needs more.
Keep giving it more cpu voltage, but dont expect much on that chip.
I have it at ~2.35ghz, but had to raise alot of voltages like cpu @ 1.325, NB @ 1.3 and SB @ 1.3. This caused a raise in temperature to the point where My cpu reached 52C under load. Should I keep going? Also, should I worry about the core temps or surface temp because my surface seems to always be a few degrees hotter than my cores.
Can't seem to get 2.4 stable. I raised the vcore to 1.3 and tried 1.35.... I raised the NB to 1.325 + the SB to 1.3. No go...
You will need 1.45-1.55V on CPU for decent overclock.
Do you think my PSU could be holding me back from a good overclock as it is only 450 Watts?
