I have recreated this thread on another section so I will hopefully receive more views and some help:

As shown in pictures, the left cord of my Etymotic ER•6i Isolators was slashed open, probably by my nails. For now the phones are working properly but I don't want to use them to avoid further damage.
I'm out of warranty so I wanted to fix them myself and I wanted to hear what are your ideas because I want to do this as effective and as simple as possible.

I thought of maybe:
closing it with some super glue.
taking it to somebody who knows how to solder little things well with another headphone cord and ask him to change them.
heat the cord again so I can melt it back into it's place
