you could do better and worse. if you plan on overclocking alot or upgrading to dual core or a top end video card you would do well with something else. if you just want to go with what you have on a budget for a while it will probably work. nice psu's are good investments though.

I would say go with something else. As a basic rule, go with any psu that is about 450w or over, with at least 20-25a on the 12v rail

It's not the best, but if you don't plan on overclocking and running high-end components, it should be fine.

i plan on overclocking but im begginer so i dont plan to overclock in high levels just like from 3.0 to 3.4 or 3.6
and my graphic card doesnt take alot of power

I see that you've made the purchase already.

What was your initial budget? Couldn't have been much seeing that you made a budgetter's choice.

You could have saved up more and gotten a better PSU.

The PSU is the "heart" of your system. If the heart in a human body were to fail, what would happen to the body? It'll collapse.

It's the same with a computer. If you do not start off (or upgarde

) with a good heart, then your system would not last a long time. Esp. if you're overclocking because overclocking requires constant and stable amount of voltage throughout the system.

If you have the mind to do so, return the PSU when it comes, then get something better in the near future because it is recommended that you spend $80+ on a PSU from a well-known company (i.e. OCZ, Enermax, Fortron, Sunbeam NUUO, etc.). If your system runs fine with current PSU, there needn't be any hurry.

it's okay, not great. Some great PSUs I would definently reccomend:
Sunbeam Nuuo 550W
Antec Truepower 550W
Pretty much any Fortron (aka FSP Group) PSU
I also like mine (duh), but it's not SLi certified, if you're planning on that.

Anyway, mine's pretty good. 450W is fine, especialy since I have pretty much mid-low end components, but it's got 28a on the 12v rail, so it'll handle quite a bit more. It's got great reviews on NewEgg, and it's only $46.50... plus it's got some fricking awesome blue LEDs in the fans.

yeah I'm going to advise against an aspire psu... I had one and it got canned in about 5 months.

the sunbeam nuuo would be an excellent choice if you can afford about 85.

the FSP 450w that I have in my 2nd rig would also be a good choice for a bit cheaper. dual 12v rails w/ 18a each. 56 shipped from newegg

Yeah, that is a great one, but really it is up to you, your price range, and what you want to use it for.

If you want high quality OCing, then this is a pretty good one. Otherwise, Aspire has always been good to me, so I would suggest this one, but it is up to you.

and its only 10$ so when it dies ill buy an antec or sunbeam .or ocz

you have a power hungry prescott, i'd reccomend something like this with a heavy single 12v rail
