Hey bro, I live in Shenzhen, idk if you know where it is but it is about 2 hours away from Guangzhou. Anyways, I believe that you can pay something like 200RMB/month for an 8mb down load plan, however the actual speed is like 5mb/s, which is really good compared to my 200kb/s average on my Motorola Cable Modem... Unfortunately I am not sure which ISP provides this, just look up 8mb plans that cost 200RMB/month.

BTW how long have u been in China 4?

also this may be REALLY random, but by any chance are you a student at either AISG or UISG?

I really don't think that in China you will be able to manage a download speed of 13mb/s considering all the filtering they do...

Assuming you are a High School student (as am I), I would go to AISG if I were you (apparently the girls are better than UISG)...

im most likely going to one here in guangzhou, and lets not get off topic now shall we:p. can someone indentify the speeds the site i provided? what are these?

•Flexible Bandwidth Options : China Telecom Dedicated Internet Access can be provisioned at speeds of DS-1, OC-3, OC-12, OC-48, all Ethernet speeds, and Gigabyte Ethernet speeds. Our IP backbone is highly scalable and expandable to provide a range of capacity, allowing customers to choose the bandwidth they need.
Features

•Scalable port speeds (Nx64, T1, DS-3, OC-3, Fast Ethernet, and Gigabit Ethernet)

I think that China NET is a better ISP, and attempt to find a decent ADSL 2+ plan because it would have the fastest upload... I am so jealous of HK, they are already implementing the fibre optics net...

Those are pretty fast. OC-48 is ~2.5 Gbit/s.
