Questions I have:
1. I found the Scythe Kaze Maru for 140mm but not sure if their any good...
Anyone knows the big difference between Kaze Maru 1 vs Kaze Maru 2...??

2. for 120mm, are the 38mm much better vs 25mm...??

3. Is getting the Side Panel with Fan preferable to Window on the 1000...?

4. Any other good fan recommendations? i'm planning to put (I plan to mod more fans later but need these for now...)
2 x 140mm fans at the top for exhaust
1 x 120mm fan on back for exhaust
1 x 120mm fan on bottom for intake

==========

HDD Cooling...(I plan to have around 4 HDDs)
1. Better to have a 5.25 HDD Bay or throwing on some HDD Fans like this...http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835185073

==========

Fan Duct...
1. What is the main purpose of this since I don't see holes for fan mount or anything...?

==========

Recommend me any other good mods I can do to make this case better for air flow...

1.
kazemaru 1 : 3 models (500rpm, 1200rpm, 1900rpm)

kazemaru 2 : 4 models (500rpm, 800rpm, 1200rpm, 1700rpm)

As you can see, the frame and the blades are different.

2.
The 38mm fans move in general much more air compared to the 25mm ones.
They are also often noisy.

3.
On the CM Cosmos, the side panel fan has not a significant impact on the temperature inside the case.
It restricts however the size of the CPU cooler you can use (145mm of clearance).

4.
For 140 mm fans, I would use the kazemaru 2 SM1425SL12M (1200rpm) or the Enermax UCTB14.

For 120mm fans, the Enermax Magma UCMA12 or the Gelid Wing12PL.

i was thinking of adding 2x120mm on the bottom but i'm afraid it will conflict with my psu...

would it be better to mod a 140mm fan on the bottom instead of a 120mm...??

A 140mm fan at the bottom will not make a lot of difference in term of airflow in my opinion, and you will not be able to use the fan bracket.
Instead, you could use a 120X38mm fan, which will move much more air, but make also more noise.
