Need help with CPU Heatsink

Planning on OCing my E8400. And want to get a heatsink for XMAS. Looking for something that will let me get to maybe 4.0. 3.6 at the least. I am in canada so either from newegg.ca or ncix.com would be great. Or any other store in canada. Looking for something not expensive.

Thanks

Also, this is my case.. Its just a generic thing so i want to make sure it would fit...

Also, as of right now, I only have one case fan.. The one that came with the case. With all those venting areas on the side of my case, Would it be worth it to get another one? As i see they are kinda cheap.... Or is it just not worth it.

Just get anything from OCZ, Thermalright,... that has that design, they are all cheap and good. I'm getting the OCZ Vendetta myself.

http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product...-007-_-Product But it's out of stock. :/

The Master Chief,

THank you! Do you think that will fit without a problem? Keep in mind I have a GTX 260 in there which is kinda big.

noobst3R,

Thanks for the suggestions, What do you think of the Arctic freezer 7 Pro Rev 2? Its llike the same price as that XIGMATEK one. Are they relativly easy to install?
This might be a little bit on the high end for you, but this would likely be the best one that's going to fit in your case yet still cool great

Oh for sure. gtx 260 is far enough away so it wont interfere.

Blackhawk, I really wish i could afford that one. We will see.... Thank you.

Master Chief, Alrightt that is awesome! so i knoew i could get that and get it to fit.
That's a great heatsink, just make sure it will fit in your case
You would have to take out your mobo to install most hsf's,unless they're push-pin installs(AC7).

I think, As of right now, I am leaning towards the http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product...82E16835233001 . Since the AC7 is easier to install... Is this hsf really that much more worth it? Is it still easy to install? Like once i get everything out etc. And does it come with everything i need? Like that paste stuff, screws etc..

Haha happened again, had a reply once i clicked reply.

THank you so much Master chief!! Really appreciate it.
They are very nice coolers , You´ll be well happy with that OCZ .
See there isnt enough room for a big heat sink.

The xigamatech will though.

And another choice enters!!

I think the XIGMATEK HDT-S963 will be my choice.... AS long as it installs relatively easy and i dont need anything else.. Comes to about 46 dollars CAD including tax and shipping. Thanks though

Master chief, Thanks for that. Good to know it will fit. Any suggestions in terms of extra fans? I only have the stock fan. Plus of course the other ones attached to the hardware. And how was the installation of it?
Also,

Would this work?

http://ncix.com/products/index.php?s...cture=Xigmatek

I would prefer NCIX as i wont need to pay shipping as its local. So at NCIX my budget is like 45 dollars because that is what it would cost to get something shipped from newegg.

I really doubt your gonna get a cooler that supports a 120mm fan into that case. I just put one in like off to the side, and it was above the case by about 1/8 of an inch.

The AC-7 is good, but its old at this stage and there are better coolers in the game.Such as the Xigmatek S1283 and the Scythe Mugen II

Edit:
Masterchief, Ahh that sucks

. O well. I guess the XIGMATEK HDT-S963 is my only choice... Any other suggestions that would fit?
