Hey guys,

I'm new to OC'ing and I'm having trouble overclocking my new system.

I could get the Core to 4GHz using the following settings:

CPU Clock 21x
Uncore 13x
QPI auto
BCLK 191x

and the RAM was running at around 1000MHz.

However when I tried to set the RAM from 6x to 8x in the memory multi settings it would not boot anymore.
This should take the RAM to just under the stock speed. I've tried playing around with the voltages and had a friend with more eperience helping me but we've hit a dead end so it seems.
I've reset my CMOS to factory as I eventually tinkered too much and couldnt get my system booting. Can anyone offer any help as to what I can do to get my CPU at 4GHz and my RAM at 1600MHz?

your uncore HAS to be 2x ram, at 12x uncore has a bug and will not work, so for 6x ram you need 13x uncore, for 8x u need 16x uncore, or 17x people say 2x+1 is more stable. Do not worry about ram until after cpuis successfully overclocked. I have almost your same setup.

I've tried them with my DRAM voltage at 1.64v instead of 1.65v because that setting isnt available. I've also tried setting the uncore clock to x17 and playing about with the voltage settings. It gets into windows, but then either freezes or BSOD appears. Anymore advice would be more than welcome !
