Hi guys,
need to buy new PSU and due to my recent move to Spain I had some difficulties to find local PC shops/websites with decent prices and low delivery costs. Anyway I have found one looking promising and now I am deciding between these 3 PSUs. Nothing special but my budget is limited.

Which would you recommend?

1. OCZ StealthX Stream2 500W for 54.2 Euro
2. Corsair CX500 Builder Series 500W for 57.4 Euro
3. Silverstone Strider Essential ST50F-ES 500W for 58.6 Euro

It will power these older components: MB MSI K9N Platinum, CPU AMD Athlon 64X2 2800Mhz, Memory A-Data 2x1GB DDR2-800, Sapphire Radeon X1950Pro, 2xSATA HDD, 1xIDE HDD, 1xSATA DVD-RW and Floppy Drive.

Thanks for advice

I'd get the OCZ. Although considering the low power consumption of your system, you could easily go with a lower wattage. Are there any other options? I'll take a look at their website if they have one and if you post it.

Thx, if I dismiss all the brands which I never heard like B-Move, Colors-IT, 3GO, Leotec, TooQ, Pangu, Nox Urano, LC Power, High-Tech, Tacens Radix, Coolbox then there is Corsair CX430 Builder Series for 44 Euro or Thermaltake LitePower 600W for 50.3 Euro.
If you know Spanish or want to use Google Translater you can check them all here: http://www.appinformatica.com/fuentes-alimentacion.htm

Regarding the 3 first options, OCZ is best of them or is just sufficient for my needs?

All four PSUs we talked about constitute plenty of power for your system. Really you'd be fine on a 250-300W unit but since there are none to be had where you're shopping, that's beside the point.
The OCZ is the better value of the three you initially had in mind.

Yes, I am not worried about the power they can supply, I know it's more than enough. I was thinking more about how many connectors, quality of components used and so on. Also I would like to slowly start to upgrade remaining components, so I am also thinking about it from future point of view. What you think?

The quality is about the same across all three. One advantage of the Corsair CX500 and the Strider ST50F-ES is that they have two PCIe connectors whereas the OCZ500SXS2 only has one. It's nothing that can't be remedied with a Molex-to-PCIe adapter though.

As for upgradability, that depends entirely on what upgrades you have in mind, but any of those units will support a system with the latest Sandy Bridge CPU and a video card such as a GeForce GTX 570 or a Radeon 6970.

Ok and what about their protections? I found this:

1. OCZ: Overvoltage/Overcurrent/Short-Circuit protection
2. Corsair: Over-voltage, over-power protection, under-voltage protection, short circuit protection
3. Silverstone: Over Current Protection, Over Power Protection, Over Voltage Protection, Under voltage protection, Short Circuit Protection

Anything worthy consideration or doesn't matter?

As for upgrading nothing is firmly decided yet. New MB+CPU, better GPU, but as you said I guess any of them will be sufficient as I don't plan dual GPU.
