Hello I might buy a new MB but I am wondering which of these would be a better deal. I am looking for the best bang for the buck but I am looking for top notch performance and OCing ability.<br />
<br />
1. <a href="http://cgi.ebay.com/B3031-New-MSI-865g-neo2-pls-ms-6728-p4-motherboard_W0QQitemZ120041186433QQihZ002QQcategoryZ44943QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem" target="_blank">http://cgi.ebay.com/B3031-New-MSI-86...QQcmdZViewItem</a><br />
<br />
2. As long as the price stay resonable... <a href="http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220037529012&fromMakeTrack=true" target="_blank">http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MakeTrack=true</a><br />
<br />
3. I have heard good OC results with this board... <a href="http://cgi.ebay.com/ABIT-VT7-SOCKET-478-MOTHERBOARD_W0QQitemZ190041355201QQihZ009QQcategoryZ80157QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem#ebayphotohosting" target="_blank">http://cgi.ebay.com/ABIT-VT7-SOCKET-...ayphotohosting</a><br />
<br />
4. Another one from the 478 appreciation thread... <a href="http://cgi.ebay.com/ABIT-IS7-Intel-865PE-Socket-478-Motherboard_W0QQitemZ170037426626QQihZ007QQcategoryZ80157QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem" target="_blank">http://cgi.ebay.com/ABIT-IS7-Intel-8...QQcmdZViewItem</a><br />
<br />
I dont need a MB as my Asus P4P800 SE works very good but the SATA controller is broke so I am using a PCI SATA card which limits performance. Also I have a bad vdroop problem limiting my OC to 3.6 Max stable and 3.8 MAX bootable. <br />
<br />
Thanks guys for the help and have a good one.

Abit IC7-G all the way. I love it. It is a great board! Plenty of V-mods too if you are into that stuff. Also look at the ASUS P4P800SE since it is also one of the best S478 boards.

I already have a P4P800 SE and like I said ythe SATA controller is broke, so I want not need a new MB. My ultimate goal is a 1gig OC I can get there with this Asus but it has a bad Vdroop and I dont want to give a whack at doing the droopmod as I almost fried the MB already. So like I said the best bang for the buck.

Ok I have 2 for the IC7 but what about the MSI and the other MB. I hope to get a new MB either way just incase for a backup as I may do the droop mod and if I brake my MB I can rest well knowing I have a backup. Also is the IC7 better than my P4P800SE?

Oh come on now we all know thats not true considering the P4C800 with the 875 chipset is better. The biggest difference between the e dlx and my SE is the SATA slots. I think I may get the IC7, or the MSI neo2 pls

It's just the PAT enabled on default that may be the difference between the 875 and 865. However, I find no creditable performance different when PAT enable or not (it's also noted that PAT might cause instability).<br><br>
Yes, and the EDLX has 2 extra SATA slot on Promisetm SATA controller.

The IC7 is the best period, lots of OCing options, vmod options, very popular board! (owned 3 myself). The IS7 is a downstep from that, probably a bit better OCer than the MSI board, though the MSI board is a good bang for the buck, if that's what your looking for.

TY Wowza that is the kind of feedback I was looking for. I was wondering about each MB and which is the best for the cash I will be spending. I will shoot for the IC7 but I can settle for the MSI if it comes to that. Basically the only thing that would stop me is cash+demand, I don't need it bad enough to spend lots of cash.
