alright, just getting things ready, computer came prebuilt and I had problems with it from the beginning. Seems like the mobo's 2nd PCI-E was broken and my X-Fire didn't work so I got the 8800 and it's just not competing how I wan't it to

I got it from Tigerdirect but I won't accuse them of it coming messed up, we tried to tweak with it constantly, I had two 3870's and they worked for a few but then I realized the mobo was messed up, too much messing around so I gave up on it

The only pre-built sites that are reasonable that I know of are ecollegepc.com and vigorgaming.com [Vigor is the maker of the Monsoon HSFs] as they do have two affordable though still overpriced low-end lines. At least there is a level of quality from each.
Someone will say that this is why you should build your own, but this could of happened anyway. In fact, from what you say, it probably would have happened sooner. ...but hey, if your not willing or able to build and you can afford it then go for it. It's better than not having the PC you want.

well I asked my brother over and over to help me haha, he's built about 4 computers but he never helped me so I said f it, was a bad choice not to keep nagging haha. Now i'm just looking to finish upgrading so I can run top graphics for once and not low, to play the newer games

Your PC should game pretty well actually as it is. I usually only use my laptop with a 2.26GHZ C2D and 9800m GTS1GB [equal to a 9600GT] and I run most games [Bioshock, Dragon Age, Mass Effect, Fear2] well and at 1920x1200 or at least 1680x1050. I do use a modded driver, but there shouldn't be much difference in performance.
Even if I have to do some heavy tweaking, I can usually make a game look halfway good.
STALKER: CS @ 1680x1050, DX10, Enhanced Full Dynamic Lighting [Only the game's florescent lighting makes me at all stuttery, but I minimized that the best I can]
the 4890 is a notable upgrade from a 4870 due mostly to the fact that it is an overclocking monster. i have both of mine running at 950/1100, and that's not even as far as they can go
