its my gf's pc it has a p5b deluxe motherboard

when i installed win 7 it set it all up.
so if i do a win 7 repair. will it just reinstall the driver?

you could uninstall it, then have windows reinstall it with Microsoft driver then update if needed.
can't you just download the driver yourself >link< .put it on a usb flash or something and install it on her pc?

edit: oh sry just saw u already tried. hmm!? uninstall or repair instead then?

This. Just uninstall it in device manager and when you re-boot, is should re-install the generic ones from MS.

Have you attempted to "roll back" the current driver so you can try the updated driver install again? Also, Microsoft does have an official Windows 7 Support Forum located here http://tinyurl.com/9fhdl5 . It is supported by product specialists as well as engineers and support teams. You may want to also check the threads available there for additional assistance and feedback.
