i've tried clearing my CMOS and downgrading, and upgrading, and nothing is working... it installs in my device manager as a tri-core.. having 3 listed.. any ideas??

asus m3a78-t and phenom x3 8750 BE

The newest version of CPU-Z detects them as Opterons.

that really sucks.. no wonder why!! my brother had this processor for a month.. sold it to me for a hundred bucks.. dropped it in and got 3.1 stable.. also ran Prime95 24 hours and it remained stable. unfortunately i didn't get a screenshot but next time i try to get a higher setting i will and post it. these cores rock!!!

i was messing with some settings with windows startup and i had it selected to boot with 2 cores...

i heard a good way to fix that problem if you didn't do what i did is to flash the bios or update it.
